September Meeting

Next meeting

Tuesday, September 11, 2007 -- 6:00 – 8:00pm in the Fellowship Hall

Bring a Salad for a salad supper at 6:00pm and our program will begin at 6:30pm.

Our theme – JESUS

We want to give you an opportunity at our next meeting to tell what you think of Jesus.

These questions might be helpful to prompt your thinking. Come prepared by writing your thoughts down to share or by singing a song for us. Everyone may not want to say something, but you can come with the name of your favorite hymn to be sung by all or your favorite verse to be read. Or maybe you just need to come and listen. That’s okay too!

Let’s use this time to spend loving Christ, getting to know Him better through others, and draw closer to Him. It’s going to be an AWESOME experience.

(We will allow 2 minutes per person.)

Jesus – There’s Something About That Name!

JESUS
  • What does He mean to you?
  • Who is He to you?
  • How do you express your love for Him?
  • When did you first know Him?
  • Where do you see Jesus?
  • How much do you love Him?
  • What is your favorite hymn about Jesus?
  • What verse means a lot to you?
  • How close are you following Him?

We want every woman between the ages of 18 and …. there!

Everyone should be back in their fall routines and can make this part of that routine. We were forever changed on Sept. 11, 2001. We are forever changed knowing JESUS. Let us focus on how wonderful life is knowing JESUS!

Come join us!

Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study

Ladies, did you know that there’s a weekly Bible study opportunity just for you? On Tuesday mornings, there is a Bible study just for ladies that you are invited to join.

This Bible Study group has been growing in our church since 1989. What started as a home Bible study for ladies grew to need a larger space and childcare for stay-at-home moms who were attending. Since the fall of 1989, this ladies group has been using our church facilities to grow one of the longest running, most well-attended Bible study groups our church hosts.

Over the years, the group has grown from a regular group of six to a roster of 37 ladies who are regularly involved. These 37 ladies represent 12 area churches. This group is open to any lady in the church or community who wants to become involved. The dynamic that helps this group to continue to grow is the closeness of the ladies involved. These ladies pray for each other every week when they come together. For the first hour of each session, they break into small groups where they share prayer requests and lift one another up in prayer.

Childcare is available for children 4 and under. The only cost involved in this study is the cost of the book (usually $10-15). The ladies also chip in to cover the costs of childcare.

In the past, this group has done studies by Ann Graham Lotz, Kay Arthur, Mary Kassian, and they’ve done all of Beth Moore’s study. On Tuesday, June 12, the group will begin a study of Tianne Moon’s Enjoy: A Thirst-Quenching Look at Philippians. This will be their summer study. We especially invite teachers and ladies who work in the schools to join us for this summer study, since they are not usually able to study with us!

For the summer, the study will begin at 9 AM on Tuesday mornings. For more information, contact us (comment here or email us at office@fbcmcsc.org).

Called To Minister in the Present

This weekend's sermon touched a soft spot with us at WFBC! We are all called to overcome the conflicts, confusion, and complications of the present to do ministry in the midst of it!

Jesus said, "My yoke is easy!" The burden He puts on your life is bearable and His yoke is specifically designed for you!

How did this weekend's sermon impact you? What did you learn? Do you feel called to a particular ministry?

Use the link above to connect to our church's web page to hear the sermon.

Join Us for a Beach Blast!

All the women of our church, ages 18 years old and up,

If you missed our first meeting in May, then you missed a truly inspiring time together as we shared God’s love for each of us. Hearts were touched as ladies boldly shared what God means to them and how he is working in their lives. It was a great time of women fellowshipping through love, laughter and tears. As one lady said, “I felt the presence of God. Great evening!” And another said, “This meeting was plumb wonderful!”

And still another said, “I want to be a part of this group!”

God is Great!!! God is Good!!!! God is Love!!!!!

Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

You don’t want to miss our June meeting! So, plan to come and enjoy an evening of fabulous fun, fellowship, and food. We will be spending the evening with the theme “Let’s go to the beach and have a picnic” as we talk about “Everything God created is good”, especially YOU.

It’s SUMMERTIME and we plan to sit back and relax and enjoy the goodness of God!

You will need to wear your shorts, sandals, bikinis (optional), beach hat, and sunglasses. Bring your beach towel and beach chair so that we can sit around and share of all the wonderful things God has made!

Also, don’t forget to bring a picnic item or two. (sandwiches, potato salad, fried chicken, banana pudding, etc.)

It’s going to be a Beach Blast! It’s going to be about something bigger than you and me – God’s Goodness! Women, tell everyone about our group - WFBC. We want EVERY woman there!

We already know God is great, so let’s find out HOW great God is! See YOU there!!!

Childcare provided.
